Terms of Service for Spentoro

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms", "Terms of Service") carefully before using the Spentoro mobile application (the "App") operated by Spentoro Team ("us", "we", or "our").

Your access to and use of the App is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the App.

By accessing or using the App you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the App.

1. Nature of Service

Spentoro is an Automated Expense Tracking tool designed to help users organize their personal finances. The App uses SMS parsing technology and manual input to aggregate financial transaction data.

A. Informational Purposes Only

The App provides financial insights based on the data available to it. It is intended for informational and organizational purposes only. The App does not provide professional financial, legal, tax, or investment advice.

B. Not a Banking Service

Spentoro is not a bank, financial institution, or payment processor. We do not hold your funds, transfer money, or have direct access to your actual bank accounts. We only read notification data (SMS) that you explicitly allow us to access.

2. User Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide information that is accurate, complete, and current. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account.

  • Security: You are responsible for safeguarding the password or authentication method (e.g., Google Sign-In) that you use to access the App. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party.
  • Responsibility: You are fully responsible for any activities or actions that occur under your account.

3. SMS Parsing and Data Accuracy

A. Automated Tracking

The App's core functionality relies on parsing SMS notifications from your bank. While we strive for high accuracy using advanced parsing logic and AI:

  • No Guarantee: We cannot guarantee 100% accuracy of data extraction. Bank SMS formats change frequently, which may cause parsing errors.
  • User Verification: You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of the transaction data recorded by the App against your actual bank statements.

B. Privacy & Permissions

By granting the READ_SMS permission, you authorize the App to process your SMS messages locally to identify financial transactions. We strictly adhere to our Privacy Policy regarding the handling of this data.

4. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content (excluding Content provided by users), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Spentoro Team and its licensors. The App is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both this country and foreign countries.

5. Termination

We may terminate or suspend access to our App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the App and delete your account via the settings menu.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Spentoro Team, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation:

  • Loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
  • Errors or inaccuracies in financial tracking (e.g., a missed expense leading to an overdraft).
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our secure servers and/or any personal information stored therein.

You acknowledge that you use the App at your own risk.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use our App after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect.
